About the Role
We are seeking a Production Lead / Supervisor to support and guide daily manufacturing operations at our Saxonburg, PA facility. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing production activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and providing day-to-day direction and support to production employees.
The Production Lead / Supervisor works alongside the production team, serves as the first point of contact for operational issues, and partners with management, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production goals while maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met
  • Provide direct guidance, coaching, and support to production employees, including training on equipment, SOPs, and safe work practices
  • Safely operate and oversee production equipment (grinders, chippers, atomizers, etc.) and ensure proper processing of magnesium materials to customer specifications
  • Enforce all Health & Safety policies, environmental regulations, and ITAR requirements, modeling safe behavior at all times
  • Monitor production processes, review measurements and test results, and ensure right-first-time quality
  • Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and adjust staffing or priorities as needed to meet daily production schedules
  • Troubleshoot operational issues, escalate concerns appropriately, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs and preventive maintenance activities
  • Review and verify production documentation, including log sheets, material usage, and calculations for accuracy and completeness
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process improvements, efficiencies, and training needs
  • Communicate production status, issues, and recommendations to management in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring new employees and support cross-training across operations
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience required, preferably in metals, chemical, or industrial manufacturing
  • Prior lead, trainer, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of production equipment, SOPs, and safety requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and effectively communicate with a diverse workforce
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce compliance with written procedures
  • Basic math and computer skills required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Forklift license or boiler license preferred but not required
