Job Overview The Production Laborer/Technician is a hands-on role responsible for safely operating production equipment to process magnesium materials according to customer specifications. This position supports daily production goals, product quality, and safety while working collaboratively with the production team under the direction of a Team Leader.
What You’ll Do
Operate production equipment such as grinders, chippers, and atomizers (training provided)
Monitor production processes, perform measurements, and make adjustments to ensure quality standards are met
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain safe, consistent production flow
Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate issues to Team Leaders or Maintenance
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety and environmental requirements
Accurately complete production logs, material usage records, and required documentation
Support preventative maintenance activities and continuous improvement efforts
Work safely with hazardous and non-hazardous materials in a regulated manufacturing environment
What We’re Looking For Required
High school diploma or GED
Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety requirements
Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift
Preferred
Manufacturing or industrial experience (chemical or metals manufacturing a plus)
Forklift or boiler license (not required)
Experience working in safety- or quality-driven environments
