POSITION TITLE: Production Supervisor (2nd shift)
Hours: 3pm - 11pm (Monday - Friday)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area while meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift
- Promote teamwork and positive environment. Must be an agent for positive change - ability to influence/lead others
- Support, enforce, and apply safe work practices. Must maintain a standard of ‘World Class Safety Performance’
- Proven negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Drive specific initiatives to achieve cost reductions through Lean Manufacturing
- Review daily production schedule for the department to plan work and personnel assignments for the shift
- Supervise and direct personnel on shift in performing tasks according to sound operating principles, company policies and procedures
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes, product specifications and equipment
- Execute production schedules and manage process flow
- Manage employees job completion hours against budgeted (standard) hours
- Identify and coordinate training needs of employees in order to develop skills to allow for department flexibility and for personal development
- Interview, recommend hiring, training, discipline, evaluate, and develop goals with employees
- Develop and promote cost reduction ideas and continuous improvement opportunities in processes and procedures
- Additional items as assigned
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 5+ years in manufacturing supervision
- Leadership skills, with the ability to positively motivate
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to clearly indicate expectations, train and develop employees, and report progress or issues to higher management
- Understand a manufacturing environment, tools, and safety skills required
- Basic MS Office knowledge, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, climb ladders and/or stairs
- Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the facility
