Position Purpose:

The QA/QC Inspector maintains the flow of quality product by performing in-process and end-item testing, and all associated documentation. This position is Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document in-process production; confirm specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; fill out required paperwork and submit to supervisor.
  • Perform end item testing by confirming government contract specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work or destruction.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste.
  • Process change requests and change order of documentations as needed.
  • Perform root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, document failure rates, quantify scrap, monitor calibration records, and investigate product non-conformances.
  • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; performing calibrations; calling for repairs.
  • Assist in manufacturing job training as needed by production supervisor.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Prior experience 1-2 years of Quality Inspector/Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Prior experience/training with chemicals or chemical manufacturing ideal
  • Must have good computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Ability to stand and walk majority of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. 
  • Analytical skills
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently.
  • A positive attitude and a ‘roll up your sleeves’ mentality to get the job done.
